# Checking of transferred names

_If you transmit users’ names from their main profile, choose whether the pre-moderation system should check them._

If this toggle is active, all nicknames transmitted from your platform are checked through our pre-moderation system (stop lists). If the nickname contains a forbidden word or phrase, this user won’t be able to send messages to a chat before changing a nickname to a valid one.

You can use an additional stop list that restricts the use of words as nicknames but allows them to be used in messages.
